New York, New York – Mustang performers head to Big Apple

(LAKEWOOD RANCH, FL) – The Mustang Players are set and ready to leave for New York to perform their original musical, “Exhibit of the Mind” off Broadway on March 20. The troupe has held fundraising events, such as a car wash on March 4 and a GoFundMe account to pay for the expenses of the trip. Senior performer Tatiana Galante among the entire theatre department feel grateful for the donations.

Tickets available next week for original musical

(LAKEWOOD RANCH, FL) – The Mustang Player’s original production “Exhibit of the Mind” is premiering Feb. 17 and 18 in the school auditorium. Tickets are currently on sale for $5, $10 and $20, depending on the seating. “The tickets are currently on sale, and they will be selling in the cafeteria all next week.

Mustang musical looking for moving money

(LAKEWOOD RANCH, FL) – The Mustang Players have started fundraising as they get closer to going to Broadway to perform their original show “Exhibit of the Mind” on March 20. The Players have started a GoFundMe among other things to help raise money for the expenses that it takes to get a musical to Broadway.

Homecoming talent show auditions scheduled

(LAKEWOOD RANCH, FL) – Auditions for “Lakewood’s Got Talent,” the 2016 Homecoming talent show, will be held after school Tuesday Oct.11 and Wednesday Oct. 12 in the auditorium. There are currently nine total acts scheduled for Tuesday, and two of the acts will be duo acts. Wednesday has seven auditions planned, with one duo planned.

Talent show taking applications

(LAKEWOOD RANCH, FL) – The LRHS talent show, “Lakewood’s Got Talent” is holding auditions after school Tuesday Oct. 11 and Wednesday Oct. 12. Last year’s talent show was cancelled due to the “Shrek” musical, and Drama Director Roxanne Caravan is ready to bring it back. “The only reason we didn’t hold it last year was because of ‘Shrek’, but the talent show is an LRHS specialty, plus it’s a talent show, which is awesome,” said Caravan.

Drama plans 2016-17 to include “Little Shop of Horrors”

(LAKEWOOD RANCH, FL) – The first LRHS Drama Club meeting will be held after school next Thursday, Sept. 15 in the school’s auditorium. Theater leadership member senior Jackson Helwege said this is an important meeting. “Since this is the first meeting, we will have some activities so we all get to know each other,” Helwege said.
